Education
Window, façade and exterior cleaning for schools and colleges — scheduled out of hours, around the school calendar.
What this sector needs
Cleaning an education site is different from cleaning any other building, and the difference is not the glass — it's the environment around it. Schools and colleges are safeguarding environments first, and our approach removes the question at source: we work out of hours. Exterior cleaning happens before the school day starts, after it ends, at weekends or in holiday windows — so our teams and equipment are simply never on site while pupils are. No contractors working around children, no vehicles moving during drop-off, no unfamiliar adults on a live school site.
The school calendar shapes everything else. Term time is the worst time for most exterior work, and the holidays are a narrow window everyone wants. We plan education work around the academic year: high-access work, façade cleaning and anything disruptive lands in half terms and holidays, while routine window cleaning runs on scheduled early-morning or evening visits. Bursars and site managers get a schedule that respects the school day rather than fighting it.
The third difference is budget scrutiny. Education budgets are examined line by line, so our work is documented visit by visit — logged attendance, clear reporting, and pricing agreed upfront with no drift. For a school business manager, that means a contractor who works around the school, not through it, and gives the finance committee nothing to query.
Services we provide for this sector
For most education sites the core is scheduled window cleaning — classroom glazing, atriums, entrance glass — delivered out of hours so the school day is never interrupted. Around that sit the jobs that keep a site presentable and safe: gutter clearance before autumn leaf-fall blocks drainage above classrooms, soft washing of render and cladding during holiday windows, pressure washing of playgrounds, walkways and entrance areas where algae makes surfaces slippery, and bin store cleaning. High-access work on halls, sports buildings and multi-storey blocks is carried out under our IPAF accreditation, scheduled for holidays wherever possible. One contractor across the whole exterior means one schedule, one relationship and one point of contact for the site team.
